Dr. George Miley looks to be moving forward with developing his company, Lenuco, with an upcoming presentation at at the TechConnect 2012 world conference on Thursday, June 21, 2012. According to the website, TechConnect matches vetted inventions with “the world’s top corporate and investment partners.” Miley’s LENR device seems unique in that it works with pressurized deuterium and palladium rich nanoparticles without the need to use power input to heat the cell. It seems to be an elegant approach that would have advantages with scientific verification of excess heat. Since there is no power used to heat the cell, the input energy measurements are removed from the mix. Miley’s calculations appear to have ruled out “all possible chemical reactions,” verifying that the effect must be nuclear.
Miley’s presentation and company are described on the site:
Location: IL, US Speaker: George Miley Title: Manager Primary Industry: Renewable & Non-Traditional Energy Executive Summary: The discovery of practical applications of low energy nuclear reactions has created much activity and interest worldwide. Our approach using hydrogen loaded nanoparticles to produce heat that is converted to electrical output offers many advantages over others. Lenuco was founded to commercialize this technology and has a 2 pronged business model. One prong is to develop the technology for use by NASA to replace pu-238 radioactive power sources in future space probes. The second prong is to provide small to medium range distributed power source for home and industrial use. Both uses capitalize on the high power density and low maintenance, radiation free, long lifetime characteristics of LENR power cells.
Let’s hope Dr. Miley finds much needed funding and partners to assist with commercializing his product. While the applications for space probe power sources are interesting, and would likely help his funding, most of us are more interested in the applications on this planet.
Dr. Miley will also be presenting at the World Green Energy Symposium (ICCF-17) in August 2012.
