Andrea Rossi’s official website, ecat.com, has released a May update. Mention is made that there are licensees around the world and that they have all attended demos. In October of this year, the plan is for a convention to be held and for a list of the licensees to be published online. Rossi reports that a new and improved version of the 1Mw plant has been manufactured in the US and has been delivered to a military customer. The old 1MW plant in Italy is getting re-worked and is supposed to be delivered to a customer in Europe in July.
Apparently, a new breakthrough has been made with operating at higher temperatures. Work is being done with regards to safety and certification of the home unit with UL in the US. With the new breakthrough with respect to temperature, applications for power generation are being opened up and mention is made of a possible integration with a Sterling engine.
E-catworld has conducted an interview with Andrea Rossi. There is also a transcript of this interview available.
